I want to help others reach their true potential.

I am a wife and a mother of three, Gabriella , 15, Walker, 14, and Sabrina, 10.  My husband has been my rock.  He is always supporting me and giving me strength.

For the longest time, I thought I had to do everything myself.  I wouldn’t dare ask for help.  It is still very hard for me to ask for help but I am getting better.

I took on too much and had an epic failure.  Instead of focusing on what was important, my kids, husband) I had to nurse my self back to health.  I did the bare minimum.  What kind of life was that?  I went to see doctor after doctor for them to tell me that they didn’t know what was wrong with me.  I was waiting for them to prescribe me a magic pill or surgery, something, anything.  My faith in the doctors soon dwindled down to nothing.  Was this pain all in my head?  How could I feel so terrible but nothing be wrong with me.  I stopped going to doctors and decided to take my health into my own hands.  I began praying to God.  Please heal me from head to toe and from the inside out.  My faith in God grew.  Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Most days I would go with out breakfast.  I would be starving hungry by noon.  I would have a Pepsi with my lunch.( Now I am telling you all my secrets.)  And then the afternoon crash would come in at the same time every day.  My dinners consisted of potatoes, beans, tortillas and breads.  All of my favorites!  I ran cross country in high school so I picked up running again thinking that it would get me in shape and I would be feeling good in no time.  However, I decided that if I ran 5 miles then I should be able to eat whatever I wanted.  Boy was that a mistake.  I found myself in this vicious cycle.  My lower back kept going out on me.  It was a chronic pain.  Everyday I woke up with it.  All day it was there.  I went to see the chiro but the pain never went away.  I asked about surgery.  The chiro said let’s try physical therapy first.  Done.  I am so glad that I asked for help and listened to her.  I received some exercises and got after it.  I ended up strengthening my lower back and have been pain free for 3 + years.  Who would have thought?

I started out by making little changes a little at a time.  I began to listen to my body and to ask myself how did that food make you feel.  I know that something worth anything isn’t going to happen overnight.  I know now that nutrition plays a huge roll in my everyday life.  I exercise 6 times a week.  I am in the best shape I have ever been in.  I know I am strong.  The most important is I feel great!  I want to help others believe that anything is possible.

I have learned that I must take care of myself before I can take care of others.  I left that little detail out of my life and paid for it hugely.  I am worth it.  You are worth it.
